7artisans has announced a new Mark II version of their popular 7.5mm f/2.8 fisheye lens for APS-C mirrorless and Micro Four Thirds. The new lens comes offers a whopping 190° field of view (on 1.5x APS-C) and comes in five different mounts, including Sony E, Fuji X, Canon EF-M, Nikon Z and Micro Four Thirds. At the moment, however, all but the EF-M version seem to be available to pre-order.
The manual focus lens is comprised of 11 elements in 9 groups to provide that wide f/2.8 maximum aperture, with a 7-blade diaphragm. They say that two HOYA Ultra-low Dispersion elements help to improve colour and contrast across the 190° field of view.

It features all-metal construction, to help prevent corrosion and dust abrasion, although it’s not advertised as a weather-sealed lens. Interestingly, the description of the lens that I saw says that it has a 28.4mm filter size. There’s certainly nowhere to put that on the front and I haven’t seen the mount side of the lens yet, but perhaps it supports rear filters. Don’t hold me to that, though. It’s likely just a mistake in the description.
The 7artisans 7.5mm f/2.8 II Fisheye lens is available to buy now for $139 in Sony E, Fuji X, Nikon Z and Micro Four Thirds mounts. As mentioned above, the Canon EF-M mount version doesn’t appear to be listed yet, but I expect it will pop up soon. The lens begins shipping in the next three weeks or so.
