ZY Optics launches 20mm f/2 4.5x lens: it’s Super Macro and super affordable

If you shoot macro, there are several options: buying extension tubes, reverse rings, or a macro lens. The first two solutions are cheap, but don’t always give the results you want. On the other hand, macro lenses are quite expensive. But ZY Optics has launched Super Macro 20mm f/2 4.5x, a lens that takes the best from both worlds. It’s both affordable and gives very good results.

As you can guess from the name, Super Macro provides you with maximum 4.5:1 reproduction ratio. It has f/2 to f/16 aperture, but only three aperture blades. Also, it doesn’t have a filter thread.

But on the plus side, it’s a lightweight and compact lens. It is very affordable, considering that it costs only $199. You can get it for different lens mounts, including Canon EF, Nikon F, Sony FE, Sony Alpha, Pentax K, Sony E, Micro Four Thirds, and Fuji X. Considering the price, it gives some quite nice results:
