UPDATE: This giveaway is now over, thanks for everyone who entered and a huge thansk to SlideTracked who sponsored the prize.

We love Timelapse and we love DIY. This is why we are happy to team up with the fine folks at Slidetracked on this giveaway.

Win A SlideTracked Time Lapse System

Sidetrack is a semi DIY solution (well mostly pre-made, and just a dash of DIY) for taking awesome moving time lapse shots. You can use it horizontally on a tripod, but it is also strong enough to do a vertical move carrying a camera.

We are giving away a Sidetracked system (valued $300) and the shoot-move-shoot module (valued $50), which includes a built in intervalometer and can take longer shots. If the winner happen to be in the US/Canada we will throw in a 6 foot rail as well. Otherwise, SlideTracked will assist in finding a local supplier for the aluminum rail, and walk you through DIYing it SlideTracked style.

This giveaway is open to DIYP and SlideTracked facebook fans only. Once you like both pages, simply hit the enter button below.

you also get additional entries for spreading the word.

How, What, When?

if you already like the DIYP and SlideTracked facebook pages, all you have to do is click enter on the button above. If not, like our page, the SlideTracekd, and then click enter.

The contest will run till end of day Friday (Nov. 2nd), then we randomly select a winner, and update this post.

You can get one bonus raffle entry for each friend you refer to the giveaway.

About SlideTracked

SlideTracked is a linear motion control system for time lapse photography. Travel along 6 foot rail varies
from approximately 15 minute to two hours depending on speed. And with the Shoot-Move-Shoot module this time can be extended to 10 hours, and beyond. Really great for Astro Lapse. It is able to hold 15 pounds vertically; more than enough for most camera+lens combos.

The shoot-move-shoot module extends the length of time it takes to travel the rail by several hours. Perfect for long exposures. It will repeatedly: drive the motor for adjustable amount of time, then pause the motor for an adjustable amount of time and trigger the camera

Here is a video showing a little bit about the system

And here is a time lapse composite made by Mike Kvackay at the Upper Peninsula of Michigan taken using SlideTracked

Update: This giveaway is now over, thanks for participating. I am quite overwhelmed with the amount of entries for such a specific device. The winner is Derek Byrne. Thanks, SlideTracked to sponsoring the prize.
