The Wildlife Photographer of the Year wants you, yeah – you, to cast your vote. Nuveen People’s Choice Award 2026 is officially open, so now we can also be in the role of judges and vote for the image that moves us the most. Wildlife Photographer of the Year is developed and produced by the Natural History Museum, London, bringing decades of curatorial expertise and conservation storytelling to the world’s most prestigious nature photography 8 Tips for Responsible Nature Photographyplatform.
This year’s People’s Choice shortlist features 24 striking photographs, selected from more than 60,000 entries. Photographers from all over the globe sent their work: they come from 113 countries and territories, to be exact. I always find this impressive, how photography brings the world together. The image selection offers an extraordinary visual journey, ranging from tender family moments and rare animal behavior to scenes that quietly confront the environmental pressures shaping our planet.
Just like photographers, the voters can come from anywhere in the world. So, each of us can take part and help decide which image will be crowned the public favorite.
