After a rumor going around earlier this year, a new Tamron lens for Sony E-mount is now here. Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD has finally been officially announced, and it’s available for preorders.
The Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD is designed for full frame Sony mirrorless cameras. Of course, you can use it with APS-C models too and get the 25.5-42mm equivalent focal length. This is the company’s second zoom for the Sony E-mount, and it will be a nice addition to the very popular 28-75mm f/2.8. Let’s see the full specs:

The previously announced Tamron 28-75mm. f/2.8 Di RXD was pretty popular last year after launch. As a matter of fact, Tamron reportedly couldn’t keep up with the demand due to the high demand. I haven’t had the chance to try it out, but I played with some other Tamron zoom lenses and they’re pretty neat! So I guess we’re about to see if the new 17-28mm f/2.8 is going to reach the same level of popularity like the 28-75mm. f/2.8.
The Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 is available for preorders for $899, and the shipping starts on 26 July 2019.
