There’s none that compares to the Canon EOS R100 for fair. (It shines even with the best Canon cameras)

Now, before you pop a blood vessel in your brain and scream holy vengeance in the reader’s comments, please consider these very compelling points that weigh in this diminutive darling’s favor. These praiseworthy platitudes come from none other than legendary online photography guru, Ken Rockwell.

Yes, this is the same Ken Rockwell who is an award-winning photographer, started a photographic career at age 5, and has clients like Merck Pharmaceuticals and McDonald’s, plus, as you probably best know him, he is the author of the highly opinionated online Web site, kenrockwell.com. But, the best is yet to come.

Regardless of your opinion about Ken’s knowledge bank, the Canon R100 is “must buy” with a current price ranging between $299 – $599, depending upon configuration and current sales promotion. Oh, what? You haven’t purchased an R100, yet? Well, that’s OK, we’ll wait here until you make your purchase and return. Now that you’ve ordered your brand new shiny R100, great; let’s continue with some of Ken Rockwell’s wisdom.

At the headline of his online review of the Canon EOS R100, Ken proudly proclaims that this camera is the, “world’s lightest interchangeable-lens camera with a viewfinder.” Fair enough, this isn’t too provocative.

Inside this review, however, is where the R100 is defined as a “great camera.” While Ken states unapologetically that the R100 is a “tiny, toy-like” camera, he clearly draws the line in the sand with, “I easily can make the same superb images as I do with my big pro cameras.” Boom, mic drop!

In case you are still in doubt about the prowess of this puny powerhouse, Ken reassures you, “the R100 offers first-rate picture quality in a tiny, inexpensive body.” And what more do you need/want in any camera?

For the complete unvarnished Ken Rockwell opinion about the Canon EOS R100, please read his entire review. Now that you’re a proud and confident owner of an R100, however, it’s time to learn how to squeeze every last morsel of goodness out of its minuscule frame. Thankfully, Ken Rockwell has you covered in that respect, too.

The Ken Rockwell Canon EOS R100 User’s Guide is a must read for any new R100 owner. Following a simple introduction, he succinctly steps you through all of the basic, high-level features/attributes that you should address with your newfound BEST mirrorless camera, EV-AH!

If you’re thirsting for some more Ken Rockwell tips, tricks, and techniques regarding the R100, refer to his self-proclaimed “similar” Canon EOS R8 user’s guide. He claims that much of this higher level camera’s information can be applied to the “very similar” R100, as well. Remember, no poison apples, please.

Enjoy.
