UPDATE: this giveaway has ended. a mail was sent to the winner, see more below

Great news for any Strobists and practical lighting photographers in the crowd. We have teamed up with Midwest Photo Exchange to do a lighting kit giveaway (strobe, trigger and modifier) which will give you a great heads up if you are starting out, or be a great addition to your kit if you are already practicing (yes, lighting is a religion).

(Contest is open until April 16th, we will randomly select a winner shorty after)

Here is the complete bundle

  • 1 x LP180R Strobe
  • 1 x Odin Transmitter for Nikon or Canon
  • 1 x Rogue 2 XL Pro Kit
  • 1 x LumoPro 8ft Air Cushioned Light Stand (US only)

Total MAP value for this package is $567

LumoPro LP180R Off Camera Flash

LUM8190

The LP180R Off Camera Flash features built-in Phottix® Odin™ and Strato™ II Multi receivers, which allow remote triggering using Phottix® Odin™ or Strato™ transmitters, without the need for an external receiver. The internal receiver also enables remote power and zoom adjustments and off-camera Canon and Nikon TTL compatibility in the LP180R when using a Phottix® Odin™ transmitter. With all the features of the LP180 and the addition of a built-in radio receiver, the LP180R is the next step for photographers looking to extend their OCF reach

Phottix Odin TTL Flash Trigger Transmitter (Canon/Nikon/Other if available)

mpex-odin

The Odin offers photographers four wireless channels and three flash control group designations. Flashes can be controlled in TTL ratio modes A:B with EV +/- adjustments of three stops.

What makes the Phottix Odin unique is the ability to designate groups in TTL/Mixed mode. Individual groups, A, B, C, can also be controlled in TTL mode with EV +/- adjustments. Groups can also be set to Manual mode, adjusting power levels remotely, or turned off.

Rogue FlashBender 2 XL Pro Lighting System

exp1042

The Rogue FlashBender 2 XL Pro Lighting System contains the largest FlashBender, creating a bigger light source while retaining the portability and easy setup fundamental to all the FlashBenders. The FlashBender XL Pro Lighting System is sized to fit a 15″ laptop compartment or lay flat to allow more room for lenses and other essential equipment in the gear bag.

LumoPro 8ft Air Cushioned Light Stand (If winner is in the US)

lum5005_a

The LP606 8′ Air-Cushioned Light Stand features a lightweight, solid aluminum design. This stand is ideal for supporting lightweight lighting kits in studio or on location. The LP606’s air cushioning helps to ensure your mounted accessories do not drop too quickly when lowering a section on the stand – often saving a joint or two on your fingers!

We really wanted to give a light stand as part of the deal. Sadly, shipping the stand abroad will be way to expensive and rises the risk of the package being stopped delayed at costumes. What we figured out, is that we can add it to US winners. Non-US folks, you still get the Strobe, Trigger and FlashBender in  a tightly packed box.

Big thanks to MPEX for supplying the prizes for this giveaway.

Fine print

Nope, you cannot enter more than once per day. Yupp, you can enter from anywhere in the world if its legal for you (we pay shipping, you pay duties if apply). Nope, we will not sell your email. Yupp, you do get extra entries for sharing. Nope, you are not allowed to rig the system (though rumor has it that the editor likes Belgian chocolate)

UPDATE: this giveaway has ended. a mail was sent to the winner, Jonathan Estrada is our winner, and was sent a mail. huge thanks for MPEX for the prizes again.
