DIY Vintage Lamp With Cameras For Body And Slides For Shade Tutorial

Today in our “how to use your camera for stuff other than photography” column we feature the project of Stacie Grissom – a complete working lamp made from old cameras and slides.

Yes cameras. In plural. And there is a full tutorial.
The project was conceived after Stacy got a box full of old cameras from her uncle. She had more cameras than she can ever restore, so she got three of them (that were too dirty to be working) and repurposed them as a lampshade.
Inspiration came from the Camera Club Lamp Ensemble and from Polaroid Lamp fixtures that sell for $150 and up.

The kit is based around a Make-A-Lamp Kit and a top of a dead lamp shade, and while it take some craftsmanship it looks like a fairly easy project to complete as it uses no special tools.
