Sometimes, you get an idea in your head that you just can’t shake. You just have to go and make it. That’s exactly what happened to Jakarta, Indonesia based digital artist Aditya Aryanto. Aditya is interested in cubes. And he had the urge to turn some animals into cubes to see how it would look.

It started off as a single image that he posted to Instagram. When his friends and followers liked it, he was challenged to make more. And more he made. Using source photographs of animals from sites like Pixabay, he took to Photoshop to turn more creatures into cubes.

It’s a pretty cool and interesting idea, with some great results. Although, it definitely works better on some animals than others. The sheep, especially seems to suit the square look. Although, I am reminded a little of that Japanese trend that seems to be going around.

It also shows that if you get an idea in your head, and you can’t get out to shoot the photos yourself, there are other options. Sites like Pixabay and Unsplash offer a wealth of images for you to play with. Some of them are really good. Others, not so much. But at least they give you the chance to hone your Photoshop skills when the weather sucks.

If you want to see more of Aditya’s work and keep updated on new images, check out his Facebook page and follow him on Instagram.
