In a Mother Jones piece, Ramenda Cyrus analyzes A1 coverage of last year’s George Floyd protests and contends that the media is still relying on old tropes to represent Black Americans. In this episode of Vision Slightly Blurred, Allen and Sarah take a look at her arguments and the supporting voices of author Martin Berger and “Reading the Pictures” publisher Michael Shaw.
Also in the show: The 400 Years Project collects stories of Native Americans, facial recognition errors are preventing people from collecting unemployment, Darnella Frazier receives a special citation from the Pulitzer Prizes for her video of George Floyd being murdered, Emily Ratajkowski sells her NFT for $175,000, and books from Ben Brody, Sebastiao Salgado, and Todd Bigelow.

2 billion dollars in property damage, and money donated to blm that went directly to Joe Biden and 4 houses to the blm co-founder – yeah, I’d say it was a pretty corrupt movement preying on our sense of empathy.
Media will do anything if it needs to fits their Narrative – this goes for any story
Per the Mueller report Putin got a lot for his money, you know how much enough bombs to level billions in property would have cost

Which set of white eyes? I hate this belief that everyone of a certain race has the same beliefs. It does not apply to any race. It is just another form of soft racism.
Manipulation via emotions
Oye Vey, it’s the medias fault, it’s the Republican’s fault, it’s the Democrat’s fault, the police, BLM, white people, etc., etc…
There is such a push to put everything into groups as we have lost our ability to have self responsibility and individual exclusion. We have bad apples on the tree of life. Derek Chauvin killed Mr. Floyd. Until we as a species can remove hate from our lives we will continue to have more Floyds, more gang shooting , mall shootings, killings of all types. To blame it on a any “group” is just avoiding the real issue of what is at fault. Now go take some photos of cute animals and landscapes.
