For all those who want to start a food vlog, shoot food commercials or stock videos, this is a real treat. Filmora.io has released a series of videos to teach you everything about shooting cooking videos. From lighting to shooting tricks and different types of editing – this series provides it all. Everything is explained well, in a comprehensive language, and it can be really useful to all of you who want to shoot cooking videos for any purpose.

Another great thing is that this tutorial makes food videos closer to all of us who don’t have tons of professional gear and a professional studio. You can achieve great results with a DSLR or mirrorless camera, good light and of course – some improvisation.

Lighting

Of course, good lighting is essential for good videos of any kind, and cooking videos are no exception. In this video, Jeff shows you how to light a dish to get the best results. You will need a key light and a backlight to get a clean, appealing image of the dish you’re shooting.

Shooting and editing

From these Filmora.io’s tutorials, you’ll also learn different styles of shooting. Jeff talks about shooting and editing videos in slow motion, creating matched focus transition and jump cut editing, to make our videos more interesting and appealing to the viewers.

Personally, I enjoy all aspects of food, from buying the ingredients to eating what I prepare. I love cooking videos and food photos too, and 24Kitchen has been my favorite channel ever since I’ve heard of it. Therefore, I really enjoyed watching these videos and found them useful and inspiring for food projects of my own. I hope you did too. If you’d like to see more, make sure to head over to Filmora.io’s YouTube channel and explore all of their video lessons.
