Deal Alert: save $2,200 on Bowens Battery-Powered flash kit

If you are looking to make your first steps in the “big strobes” world, this is a deal you don’t want to miss. B&H are now selling a Bowens XMT500 2-Light Battery-Powered Flash Kit at $1,599.00  instead of the usual $3,799.oo. This is a $2,200 savings.

The kit includes 2 500WS Flash Heads, 2 Reflectors, 2 Batteries, 2 Light Stands and a charger and a backpack. Really everything you need to start.

If you opt for AC instead of a battery, you’d pay $1,199.88 and also get an umbrella, a softbox, and a radio controller.

The last option is to go for a 750WS kit (similar to the 500WS AC kit), which will set you back $1,349.95.

This sounded too good to be true and I had to make sure, so I looked the same 500WS Battery kit on Amazon. Interestingly, on Amazon this kit sells for $2,999.00. So if you compare to Amazon, you’d save only $1,400. Actually, this is not that bad too :)

For those of you who forgot, Bowens was bought by WEX about half a year ago, so this sale may be related to stock management. (manufacturer warranty may be an issue there). That said, it is still a pretty sweet price.
