Canon’s sensor lineup has expanded to add five new sensors, including one Super 35mm and one Full Frame 50-megapixel sensor. It appears as though the additions are new to third party sales, although might have existed in previous Canon models.
All five sensors are rolling shutter CMOS sensors, designed primarily for surveillance, rather than photography or video, despite the physical size of a couple of them.

Full Frame 50MP CMOS Sensor
This is the only full frame CMOS sensor in the new lineup. It has a 50.6 million effective pixels, low noise and reduced dark current. This could potentially be the sensor found in the Canon 5DS, which is also 50.6-megapixels and offers a similar maximum frame rate. If the 5DS and 5DSR are about to be released by a new ultra-high resolution EOS R mirrorless camera, it makes sense for Canon to let this one out to third parties now.
