Boya Mini Wireless Microphone.

Right behind the Rode Wireless Micro ($149) and the DJI Mic Mini ($169), BOYA has launched the new Boya Mini wireless microphone. The new ultra-compact mic is aimed squarely at the new wave of content creators.

Weighing just 5 grams – half the weight of the DJI Mic Mini – Boya claims it’s officially the world’s smallest wireless microphone. So, if you need an extremely small, lightweight wireless microphone, it looks like Boya has you covered.

Designed to Disappear

The BOYA Mini’s super-lightweight build and minimalist design mean it integrates seamlessly into your setup – or your outfit. Clip it onto your shirt, and it’s much less noticeable than a lot of the microphones we see on YouTube. And because it’s light, it means little-to-no sagging on clothes.

According to Lucas Xu, BOYA’s Product Manager, “Every detail was meticulously crafted to maximize performance while minimizing size.” It’s an impressive feat of engineering, to make a capable microphone and transmitter this small. Also, remember, there’s a battery in there, too.

Boya Mini "Blending in"
Obviously, Boya used contrasting colours for the marketing images so the mics stand out,
but if you pick the right colour for your clothes, it should blend in quite well.

Crisp Audio Without the Clipping

Tiny doesn’t mean compromised. The BOYA Mini delivers solid performance where it counts. With 48 kHz/16-bit audio and frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, it’s built to capture clean, high-quality sound. It features built in limiter tech to keeps distortion in check..

Noise won’t get in your way, either. A built-in DSP noise cancellation chip, coupled with three ENC modes, ensures clear sound, even in challenging environments. And for a touch of creative fun, the voice-changing modes open up playful possibilities for live streams and interviews.

There’s no 32-Bit float audio, but there’s no 32-Bit float audio on the Rode Wireless Mini or the DJI Mic Mini, either. If you want 32-Bit float, you want a different system – with a wired lav, to keep the mic tiny.

Long Recording Days Made Easy

The Mini Wireless Microphone is ready to keep up with long recording sessions. Each transmitter runs for up to six hours on a single charge, while the charging case stretches that to a full 30 hours. Whether you’re vlogging, gaming, or recording on the go, it’s versatile enough to handle it all.

Of course, you can always keep the charging case topped up from USB power banks. This can be very handy for travel vloggers who may be away for several days at a time without power.

Price and Availability

The BOYA Mini Wireless Microphone is available to buy now in various configurations. It’s available in black or white, as well as USB-C or Lightning port flavours. There’s even a 3.5mm TRS receiver for those using it with mirrorless cameras.

You can find out more about the BOYA Mini Wireless Microphone on the BOYA website, with prices ranging from $45-60 on Boya’s AliExpress store. We should expect it to start popping up at the usual places soon.
