The Slypod Pro is a HUGE step up from traditional sliders (and monopods)
Sliders and monopods, what do they have in common? Absolutely nothing. Until now… In fact, they’re kind of meant for the opposite things, but the folks over at Moza have a really clever take on this, and they joined the two together. Now, we have the Slypod Pro, a brand-new slider/monopod combo that packs a serious list of things it can do.
The Portkeys LH5P is a great monitor that also controls your camera
The Portkeys LH5P is a really interesting monitor, to say the least. It boasts a great feature set and a bright panel. But the most attractive feature is definitely the camera control function. Portkeys has been getting notoriety for its camera control abilities, and this monitor brings it to an even more affordable market. Peaking at 1700 nits, this 5.5-inch monitor can do some pretty cool stuff.
Even taking into consideration that Portkeys is a budget brand. This monitor stands out with its feature set.

It’s crazy that this 12mm Full Frame ZERO-D cine lens is under $1,500
The king of ultra wides just stepped into the ring of cine-line lenses with a very bold claim. The Venus Optics Laowa 12mm T2.9 Zero-D Cine Lens is the newest lens to come out of Laowa. The “Zero-D” supposedly stands for zero-distortion, but at 12mm how is that even possible!? After playing around with the lens for a while, I can officially say, I’m blown away by this lens.
Hands on with the new IRIX 15mm T2.6 Cine Lens

Three photography lights you can use for online meetings
So, Covid-19 is upon us and we are staying home. Alone. This means that we make a lot of content and meetings in front of a monitor and a webcam.
If you are a photographer or a videographer, you know that the lights you use, matter at least as much has your webcam. I thought it would be nice to take three lights and show them in front of a monitor. Now, these are lights that are either low-priced or that you already have lying around anyways. Without further ado, here are my top three photography lights to up your online meeting game.
DEAL ALERT: IndiPRO Universal Power Grip, Cage & Charger for 47% off for 24 hours
If you are a long time reader of the blog, you know that we are very interested in power solutions. This is why I wanted to share this IndiPRO deal with you. It has the Universal Power Grip (video review above), a half-cage and a DTAP charger. I think it is well worth the $475.00 list price, but at $249.95 it’s an absolute steal.
DEAL ALERT: LITRA LitraTorch 2.0 Light is selling for almost 50% off
If you’ve been following the blog, you know we are big fans of the Litra Torch, so we are happy to share that you can now get it for almost 50% off.
If you are unfamiliar with the light, it’s a tiny light (think GoPro session size), which has a very long throw and an incredibly bright beam. You can think about it as a mini flashlight. The cool thing though, is that it is daylight balanced and has a CRI of 90 (not as good as the “standard 95, but good enough for most still and video uses). You can check a short review we did at the bottom of the post.
This light usually sells for $89.95, but right now, B&H is selling it for $49.95; this is almost a two for one deal.
The only caveat is that this is not the “standard” version, but a drone version, so the magnet on the back of the light has been removed, so to not interfere with the GPS. It is still a great bargain if you are looking for this type of action light.
