Apple launches a set of tutorials for improving your iPhone photography

Smartphone cameras have become quite powerful. Because of this, it seems that more people get attracted to photography and want to explore all its possibilities. To help newbies get into phone photography, Apple has dedicated a section of their website to all aspiring iPhone photographers. They share some shooting tips and tricks in a cool and useful set of videos for all those who are just discovering the wonderful world of photography.

On Apple’s website, there’s a section “Photography how to,” a page of elegant and simple look and a list of videos to help you get started with iPhone photography. You can also find these videos in a playlist on their YouTube channel. They’re short and simple, with all sorts of photography tips explained in a few steps, with an example and recap.

Some of the videos are about using the camera and getting the best of it, like this one about shooting stills while recording a video:

Other videos include brief tips for photography itself. Finding the best light or the best angle, experimenting and getting the shot in different circumstances:

As I mentioned, I see this learning section on Apple’s website useful for newbies and those who are just discovering photography. It can help them master the settings much faster, but also encourage them to explore photography and get some ideas. But it can even be useful for those who already know about photography – but haven’t had a smartphone before.

Aside from photography tips, most of the videos show how to use iPhone 7 camera settings. Some of them are applicable to smartphone photography in general, even if you don’t own an iPhone. So I instantly thought of my mom and people of her age, who know how to use an analog (and even compact digital) camera, but haven’t used a smartphone before. So, if you belong to any of these categories, I believe these videos will help you go through iPhone camera settings quickly and get some new knowledge and ideas.
