Apple is now offering free 30-minute over-the-phone photo editing classes

Don’t worry, Mac users. If you suck at editing your photos, Apple has your back with an over-the-phone photo editing class. Yes, that’s right, they’re going to guide you through editing your photos… over the phone. Hey, at least they’re free, right?

The sessions last for 30 minutes and you’ll have an Apple Photos “expert” giving one-to-one assistance over the phone, and walking you through editing your photos.

Our specially trained Apple Support Advisors are experts in using Photos to transform pictures from good to amazing — and they’d love to show you how in a 30-minute guided phone session.

Users of all skill levels are able to take advantage of these sessions, and they’ll be tailored to your own level of ability. But only if you’re a US resident.

Apple says that the session will cover all of the editing tools that Photos offers. Now, call me a cynic, but if you can talk me through all the features of a piece of software in only 30 minutes over the phone, then how many features can it really have?

They’ll “even help you edit your Live Photos and images taken in Portrait mode”, they say. The session will cover everything from the one-click Auto Enhance tool through to fine-tuning and tweaking more specific details of your images.

If you’re interested, you can book your online session through the Apple website. If you’d prefer to receive some in-person assistance, Apple also offers that, too, through their Apple stores.
