Adobe seems to rely on AI more and more, and it’s constantly adding helpful new features to its software. Photoshop Elements 2021 and Premiere Elements 2021 have just been announced, and they’re full of AI-powered features that are both useful and fun.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 2021

Let’s start with the Photoshop Elements 2021. One of the new features is turning your photos into animated GIFs with 2D and 3D camera motion. It’s powered by Adobe Sensei, and it lets you turn a photo into GIF in a single click.

For this release, Adobe has added some usability enhancements to the catalog structure. There’s now a new way to automatically back up your catalog structure for easy recovery.

There are three new Guided Edits within Photoshop Elements 2021 and they include:

  • Duotones
  • Perfect Landscapes (sky replacement, the same Adobe Sensei-powered feature that’s coming to Photoshop)
  • Move, Scale, and Duplicate Objects

Adjust Face Tilt is another feature coming to Photoshop Elements. As the name suggests, it lets you tweak the face tilt of the people in your photo. This is one of those features that’s fun to use, and the result is pretty realistic. I personally don’t think I’d use it often though, but it could be helpful in some situations. It’s meant for those group photos when someone isn’t looking in the right direction. Or for any photos when you simply feel that the tilt of your subject’s face just doesn’t look right to you.

Photoshop Elements will also include Quote Graphics. “We all need a little inspiration – especially in 2020,” Adobe writes. This is a feature that I think is very Instagram-friendly, as it lets you create motivational (and other) posters. Not my cup of tea, but that’s just me, of course.

Adobe Premiere Elements 2021

Adobe Premiere Elements 2021 is all about saving time when editing video. The first new feature is Select Object. It lets you select a specific object or area of your video and easily apply an effect that tracks throughout the video.

Premiere Elements also offers more power with GPU accelerated performance. This means that you’ll be enable to see high-quality playback of various effects without rendering first. This will also make it faster to crop your videos. In addition, there are 21 new music tracks to add to your videos.

As for the Guided Edits, there are two new ones in Premiere Elements 2021: Double Exposure and Animated Matte Overlays. Same as Photoshop Elements, there are usability enhancements that let you automatically back up your catalog structure.

You can get both Photoshop Elements 2021 and Premiere Elements 2021 on Adobe’s website for $99.99 each. You can also get them in a bundle for $149.99.
