Zhongyi Optics, often referred to as ZY Optics, has release the second iteration of their Mitakon Speedmaster 35mm f/0.95 lens, a manual focus lens with a fast maximum aperture at an impressive price point.

While the Mitakon Speedmaster 35mm f/0.95 might look like its predecessor and feature similar specs on the outside, the inside has changed with better optics, making for improved sharpness and reduction of chromatic aberrations. According to ZY Optics, the image resolution has improved by 30% compared to its predecessor.

ZY Optics also put the Mark 2 version on a diet. It weighs in at only 460g, a whopping 220g lighter than the original model. It also features a click-less aperture ring, a 9-blade aperture diaphragm and a minimum focusing distance of 0.35m (roughly 1.15 feet).
