Wix food Gallery Just got word from the great guys at Wix. They’ve been working hard on adding features and templates to better suit us photographers. (If you just want the coupon, skip to the end :)

We reviewed Wix in the past and were very pleased, we’re even more pleased with the addition of the new features.

They still offer all the old features, like SEO friendliness, easy intuitive editor and a nice set of out of the box site templates. They just got better.

  • First, the image quality has been upgraded to provide what you may call Flickr class quality. It’s been like this for a while now, however, the change is finalized now.
  • eCommerse is fully integrated and allows you to sell your images via a Wixed site. (yes, they support Paypal and no, they do not take commission per sale)
  • Lots of new photography friendly Templates

Wix still offers a free site creation tool. However to get the most out of Wix you may want to pick up a premium service. Those will allow you to remove the Wix banner from your site, link with your own domain, use unlimited bandwidth and integrate eCommerse.

As a bonus for DIYP readers Wix now offers a 30% discount (for life) when signing for the premium package. This discount is added to any discount you receive for long term signing, and it can add up for more than 40$ a year.

Simply type diyphotography in the coupon fiend in the order form.
