If you suffer from GAS (gear acquisition syndrome) and would like to sooth the itch for a while, or if you’re simple jealous of your friend’s cameras collection and want to outdo him, this eBay listing is going to make your day.

A collection of roughly 600 cameras, manufactured by Kodaks, Ikontas, Canon, Nikon, Leica, Retina, Voigtlander, Minox, Hit, Polaroid, Revere, Rollei and others, is now for sale on eBay.

The collection represents 100 years of camera history with the oldest camera being from 1880 and the latest is from 1980.

At an average of $60 a piece, these cameras can be yours for $34,900.

“This is a collection of approximately 600 cameras ranging in age from 1880 to 1980. It includes
Kodaks, Ikontas, Canon, Nikon, Leica, Retina, Voigtlander, Minox, Hit, Polaroid, Revere, Rollei
and many more. Most of the older cameras are in working order and most of the newer 35mm
SLRs are NOT in working order.

Includes 8 different Retinas, 10 diff. stereo cameras, 28 diff. twin lens reflexes (3 Rollei),
Luftwaffe Leica replica, early Canon copy of Leica and 2 early Nikon copies of Leica, 37 diff. light meters, 3 early Graflex, 4×5 Crown Graphic with Flash unit (uses screw in flash bulbs) and 2 Kodak 120 Medalist, 3 giant Kodak Instamatic dealer display / advertising pieces, and many many more.

For a complete list please request it if you have a sincere interest in purchasing this incredible
collection.

Shipping can be arranged by negotiation but it would probably be cheaper to travel here and
pick it up. I think it could fit into a large SUV.

The sale includes about 40 different  Polaroids which are not on display and many camera cases
(as in eveready leather) which are also not displayed or photographed.

The collection is located in Manitowoc Wisconsin and can be viewed during business hours or
by appointment. Call me at
[removed] Todd”.

If you’re serious enough to follow the link to the original listing on eBay you will be able to see the seller’s phone number.

Getting this purchase approved by your significant other shouldn’t be a problem once you explain that getting these 600 cameras will be cheaper than buying one new medium format camera.

Plus, if you happen to be in the Manitowoc Wisconsin area and own a large SUV you can save serious bucks on shipping!

And if (!) you can’t afford this, you could try “500 Cameras” by Todd Gustavson for $26.95 (2011 Sterling Publishing Company). A marvellous presentation of 170 years of innovation, based on the George Eastman archives.
