Travel website, Busbud, has been up to some interesting research–they’ve been scouring Instagram for the most ‘grammed locations in both the United States and Canada. In many instances, you’ll probably be able to guess the most photographed places, but there are some surprises hidden in there, too. For example, Washington D.C.’s hot photo spot is obviously the White House, but would you have guess the bridges of Madison county for Iowa or Coors Field for Colorado?

To be fair, when I was looking at the #BridgesofMadisonCounty hashtag on Instagram for some photos to share with you, a lot of them were actually in regards to the novel, the movie, or the musical. The majority do seem to be of the actual bridges themselves, but I’m not sure whether or not this was accounted for in the research, so do with it as you will. Regardless, it’s still kinda fun to see all this information put together in one place–it makes it easy to go through and see how many of the places I’ve photographed.

You can see more of their findings over on Busbud.com–it’s pretty cool, they have an interactive graphic that makes it super easy to visit each location via Instagram with just a couple mouse clicks!

Lastly, next time you’re headed to one of the destinations on the list, pack up the old Camera Restricta to help you get some unique shots!
