The OnePlus 10 Pro, launched in China back in January today sees its official global release. It boasts the second-generation Hasselblad Camera for Mobile, with the first having previously come in the OnePlus 9 Pro – part of Hasselblad’s 3-year deal with OnePlus that was announced in March of last year. It also features a 120Hz display with Dual Color Calibration (a first in smartphones) and “super-fast” charging.

The camera module retains essentially the same specifications (sensor size, resolution, etc) as its OnePlus 9 Pro predecessor, although it is a redesigned module able to shoot in full 10-bit colour, 125% sRGB coverage capture, and you can shoot 12-bit raw on all three rear cameras. The OnePlus 10 Pro also debuts a new “Movie Mode” allowing for full manual control over your videos along with LOG format.

In March, it was announced that OnePlus was teaming up with Hasselblad for a three-year partnership and introducing the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. Now, the next iteration of OnePlus flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 10 Pro is almost here with a new Hasselblad triple camera system, although the resolutions don’t really seem to have changed much and also carries the dual-colour LED for “flash” or video fill.

The resolutions of the three rear cameras are a 48-megapixel 1/1.43″ wide-angle camera, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera and a 50-megapixel 1/1.56″ ultra-wide-angle camera. On-paper, that’s identical to the OnePlus 9 Pro, right down to the max aperture, as well as colour features and the video resolutions and frame rates. The selfie camera’s seen a resolution bump, though.

OnePlus-s latest flagship phone, OnePlus 8 Pro, was announced only a month ago, promising pretty stunning camera performance. But it seems to be even cooler than we thought. OnePlus has become a formidable force in the world of premium smartphones over the last few years. Last year’s iteration, the OnePlus 7 Pro was declared Smartphone of the Year 2019 by MKBHD and widely praised by users and reviewers alike. I’ve used it myself and it’s a pretty stunning device.

Today, though, OnePlus has announced the latest iterations of their devices with the OnePlus 8 series smartphones – the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro. And looking at the spec sheet, it definitely seems a little special!

The OnePlus 7 Pro’s “3x optical zoom” isn’t completely a zoom – It’s a crop

There’s been a lot of talk about the cameras on the new OnePlus 7 Pro, and it’s not all been good talk, either. The OnePlus 7 Pro boasts a “3x optical zoom”, but is it really? According to one user on Reddit, not so much, no. OnePlus isn’t really lying with this claim, but there are some caveats. One could argue that they’re “lying by omission”, though.

The bezel-free Oppo Find X smartphone has weird popup cameras

It kinda looks like a phone from a decade ago, except it runs a modern Android operating system with a bezel-less design. And that design does look quite sleek. But what makes me immediately think of flip phones and slide out keyboards is that it has these strange popup cameras. That phone is the Oppo Find X.

You might not have heard of Oppo before, but they’re owned by the same company behind the OnePlus You probably have heard of those guys. Oppo is a big smartphone brand in China, and the Oppo Find X is their new flagship phone. A first for Oppo, though, this phone will be launched globally.
