Skylum has announced Luminar Flex, a new plugin that brings Luminar’s AI enhancing tools to third-party apps. You can now use Luminar adjustments and effects with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, and Photoshop Elements, as well as with Photos for Mac.
Luminar 3 is a winner of TIPA’s “Best Image Software” award for 2019. Skylum CEO Alex Tsepko explains that the Luminar Flex plugin “lets photographers continue to use their host software of choice, while taking advantage of Luminar’s one-of-a-kind editing features.” There are more than 50 AI-powered filters for corrections and enhancements, but also many expanded creative options.
In addition to the enhancing features of the Luminar Flex, users can also speed up their workflow by using Workspaces. These are collections of filters associated with specific types of photography which help you to organize your favorite filters into custom workspaces.
The Luminar Flex plugin works for both Windows and iOS, and you can use it with the following host applications:
- Photoshop (Windows & macOS)
- Lightroom Classic (Windows & macOS)
- Photoshop Elements (Windows & macOS)
- Photos for macOS
- Apple Aperture
Owners of Luminar 2018 and Luminar 3 will receive a free copy of the plugin, and there’s a free trial for the rest of you. And if you decide to buy it, there are three options available:
- Basic – Luminar Flex plugin only ($59)
- Signature Edition – Luminar Flex plugin + Signature Looks ($79)
- Creative Pro – Luminar Flex plugin + Signature Looks + Landscapes Course ($109)
