Until recently, Kylie Jenner was holding the record for the most liked Instagram post. But her record was beaten – by a random stock photo of an egg! The photo passed Jenner’s 18 million likes earning almost two times as much, and counting.
Previously, the photo of Jenner’s birth announcement was holding the record. Until now, when it got beaten by the egg photo that has earned over 33 million likes at the time of writing this.

It’s not clear who’s behind the record-breaking post, but the description refers to the account owner as “Egg Gang.” And in the description of the photo, the goal is clear: to set the new world record in Instagram likes:
“Let’s set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagram. Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)! We got this”
In response to the new world record, Jenner showed some humor and posted an old video of herself cracking an egg onto the ground, with the caption reading “Take that little egg.”

When the record was broken, the “Egg Gang” posted an Instagram story saying: “This is madness. What a Time to be alive,” and thanked their followers for support. Yeah, an Instagram star competing against an egg for likes. And losing this game, big time… What a time to be alive, indeed.

I’m finding more and more excuses for myself about leaving Instagram already.
I’m with you on this. I barely even use my personal IG, I have one for my FPV Kwad flying and that’s the only one i really look at or post on.
I’m starting to get sick of everything under FB. I really wanna plan on leaving everything related to FB, even Whatsapp which will soon be plagued with ads like they do with all their platforms. I don’t know who is behind all the planning they do, but I’m quite sure his or her brain is purchased from a flea market or something (why on earth do you scramble the chronological order of posts, and force me to check other users posts that way?????)

I don’t know wether I commend the Egg people on making her look like the idiot she is, or if I feel like i’d like to leave this planet and never come back, due to the entertainment being an egg and a moron fighting for airtime on IG.
