Tamron is preparing to announce a new walkaround superzoom lens, according to the latest photos leak from Nokishita. According to the images, the upcoming lens is the Tamron 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD. Other than the photos, there isn’t really much other information to go on.

The tweet from Nokishita is quite sparse, other than the images, stating only “Image of Tamron “28-200mm F/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD” to be announced next week”. They don’t say when, although Mirrorless Rumors believes we may be able to expect an announcement on June 11th.

At present, there’s no word on price or the mounts in which the new lens will come, although looking at the other Di III RXD lenses, I think it’s a pretty safe bet to assume it’s just for Sony (at least, for now). We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
