It was recently rumoured that Laowa was getting ready to announce their 4mm f/2.8 Fisheye Lens on three new mounts. Specifically, the APS-C formats for Sony E, Canon EF-M and Fuji X. There was no news about when, just that they’d been spotted on Weibo.
The Laowa 4mm f/2.8 Fisheye Lens has been out for Micro Four Thirds since August last year, and at a hair under $200, it’s an absolute bargain. The new mounts for Sony, Canon and Fuji retain the same price, and shipping now.

Nothing has changed with regard to the lens’ specs construction, it’s just available in more mounts, offering that wide fisheye field of view to more photographers and filmmakers. It offers an insane 210° field of view, which is ideal for shooting panoramas or even 360° shots with two cameras shooting back-to-back. It’s super tiny and lightweight, with essentially infinite depth of field once you’re focused to infinity and stopped down to f/5.6, which lends itself particularly well to these sorts of photography.
The Laowa 4mm f/2.8 Fisheye is available to buy now for $199 from the Laowa and is available in Micro Four Thirds, Sony E, Canon EF-M and Fuji X mounts.
