Zhiyun’s launched the latest in its line of CinePeer LED lights. The company kicked off the CinePeer series in March of this year, and now they’ve expanded it with a new short-but-powerful LED bar. It’s the Zhiyun CinePeer C100 ($299), with 100W of full colour output.

It’s an interesting little light with a lot of power. It got us curious, so we stopped by the Zhiyun stand at IBC 2024 in Amsterdam to find out more about it and check them out for ourselves.

The Zhiyun CinePeer C100 RGB LED Bar is a 100W LED light with a full complement of RGB colours. Of course, you also get bicolour white with a range from 2700K to 6500K and an impressive CRI and TLCI of 98 and 95, respectively.

It features an internal 4500mAh battery, providing up to 54 minutes of runtime at 100% brightness. This increases to a little over two hours at half power. It charges from flat to full in four hours over USB-C and has a 24V DC input that charges up in 3.5 hours.

In a small home recording or streaming environment, it’s probably going to be running well below 100%. If you can hover around 25%, that means you can essentially keep it powered all the time without worrying about it dying mid-stream.

It offers multiple mounting options, allowing you to more easily mount it in awkward places. It also helps you more easily mount it to the usual things like light stands and tripods. It features 12 built-in special effects to help you sell your shots.

Price and Availability

The Zhiyun CinePeer C100 RGB LED Bar is available to pre-order now for $299. It’s also available in a Combo bundle which includes the C100 RGB LED Bar along with an AC power adapter, grid and light clamp, and that is available to pre-order now for $299.

Placing the control dials on the side limits how many you can place next to each other seamlessly. Seems like an oversight.
