DIY-Gift-Guide-Lenses-670x4261-670x426-1Over the past week we’ve rounded up some of our favorite products this year, all of which make great gifts for the photographer in your life, be it yourself or a loved one.

Now, we’re bringing all five round-ups together so you can easily browse your favorite categories and pick the perfect gift this holiday season!

Cameras

A camera is often a first choice when starting a holiday Christmas list; I mean, you have to document the holidays with something, right? We did our best to include some options both for those who like to travel light and just want “a camera that fits in the pocket”, but also for those who are aiming for an upgrade from a previous camera or simply want to start their photography adventure with a more professional camera.

If you don’t own camera yet, or seeking to upgrade this would be where you should start, if you already have a camera skip to the other sections and see how you can spoil it or buy some friends for her.

Lenses

What good would any camera be without some glass in front of it? To compliment your newest camera, it’s about time you get a new lens (or two) too. Up until recently, it was all but blasphemy to purchase a third party lens, but as of late, Sigma and others have shown they can keep up with the big names in the business.

Whether you’re looking to improve your iPhone photography or want the best glass in the business for your 5DS, we have you covered. If you have enough glass in your bag, maybe lighting gear or a few accessories will fill the stockings.

Lighting

Without light, there wouldn’t be…well…anything. But there most certainly wouldn’t be photography. While natural light is the least expensive form of lighting your images, if you’re looking for something a little more portable, you might want to pick up a speedlight or strobe.

We’ve gathered everything from a simple reflector to a top-of-the-line Broncolor monolight pack. Head on over and check out our favorite lighting gear of the year.

Accessories

So, you already have all the important things to fill your photography bag. Well, thankfully for you, there’s plenty of accessories you can load up on. Better yet, most of these would fit just fine in your homemade stocking that’s been passed down from generation to generation.

Calibrate your screens, backup your photos or create a seamless timelapse with our favorite accessories of the year.

Camera Bags

Now that you’ve made it this far, it’s safe to say you need somewhere to store your gear…right? Well, we have you covered there, too. We’ve gathered up some of the best bags in the business. Roughing it in the backcountry? The f-stop Lotus is just for you. Heading to a formal event? The ONA Union Street Leather is perfect for the person who appreciates form as much as function. Head on over to our list to take a look at our favorite picks.

Let us know what you’re favorite gift is for the photographer in your life? What goodies are we missing out on?
