So, we know that the Canon EOS-1D X Mark II is due to be out this week, (we had leaks and rumors) but it is not out yet, at least not on Canon’s web site. Well, looks like someone hit the publish button a bit early and put it in the store, exposing the full prices, photos and specs of the 1DX mark II. Yes PROcam, I am taking about you.

All Things Photo Podcast spotted the premature outing and captured a bunch of screenshots. I would not be surprised if a press release from canon came out later today.

So, what so we have there?

CanonEOS1DXMarkIIDSLRCameraSPECS10

First is the price, and it is going to be $5,999, which is a bit lower than the usual $7,999 price point for 1Dxs when they are first broken into the market. This is a $2,000 change and not to be taken lightly, I wonder what it means on Canon’s strategy, maybe making the 1D line more accessible? maybe bringing in a bigger monster? time will tell.

Here are the leaked specs for the Canon EOS-1D X Mark II, page by page, followed by what seems to be the official images. What do you find most interesting.
