I love it when two different art forms come together to create something unique and outstanding. By combining macro photography with illustrations, Indian artist Vimal Chandran creates charming stories of a character he named “Yellow Girl.”
Vimal is a multidisciplinary artist, devoted mainly to photography, illustration, installation, and drawing. And as you can see, he merges them together to create adorable little stories. Even though he has a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Vimal has a truly creative mind and many artistic talents that he keeps developing on his own.
His Yellow Girl” reminds me of Thumbelina, and she lives in the small world of water droplets, beetles, and birds she hangs out with. Vimal takes macro photos with his Vivo V19 phone, and then the “Yellow Girl” comes to life within them, adding a whole new context to each image.
Take a look at more photos below and follow Vimal’s work on his website, Facebook, and Instagram. Also, make sure to visit his online store Unposted Letters.
