If you are trying to get a project done (be it photography or otherwise), and you are on the verge of shipping for too long, because it is not “perfect” yet, you need to hear this message from James Victore.
James suggests that Perfection is a myth and is it not all that important. It is better to be DONE than to be PERFECT. And he explains why:
In his video called Feck Perfuction, James suggest three reasons why you should not focus too much on being perfect:
- Perfection assumes knowing and certainty, while creativity is about openness and curiosity
- When striving for perfection, you assume that there is one right answer, sadly, Creativity is not math
- Perfection assumes that you are smarter than your audience, which means it’s blocking you from engaging in a discussion with your audience.
Listening to this short clip was a boot of energy for me. For you?
