Sirui Vision Prime 1 Series T1.4

Sirui is stepping up its game in the cine lens market with the Vision Prime 1 Series T1.4. This new lineup of full-frame cinema lenses is designed for high-end filmmaking, but can also be a great choice if you’re an indie filmmaker on a budget. The three-lens set—24mm, 35mm, and 50mm—is built for 8K production, boasts a fast T1.4 aperture, and offers user-changeable mounts. If you’re intrigued, let’s dive right in.

With three focal lengths, the Vision Prime 1 Series covers a wide range of shooting scenarios. The 24mm is ideal for expansive landscapes and wide shots, the 35mm delivers a natural perspective for general-purpose cinematography, while the 50mm is a classic for portraits and interviews.

Each lens features a close focusing distance between 0.26m and 0.43m, which means you can capture sharp close-ups and intimate details.

Full-frame coverage and 8K-ready optics

Sirui promises razor-sharp resolution, optimized for 8K production. The lenses feature a combination of aspherical elements, ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass, and HRI (High Refractive Index) glass. This mix is designed to minimize distortion, reduce chromatic aberrations, and keep focus breathing under control. In real-world use, this means clean, cinematic images with sharp details from edge to edge.

Fast T1.4 aperture

With a T1.4 aperture, these lenses are ideal for low-light shooting. The wide aperture allows you to work in difficult lighting conditions without cranking up the ISO, keeping noise levels low while still maintaining detail.

At T1.4, the bokeh is soft and round, creating a beautiful separation between subject and background. Whether you’re aiming for a shallow depth of field or smooth focus transitions, Sirui promises to deliver the classic cinematic look.

User-changeable mounts

One of the standout features of the Vision Prime 1 Series is its versatile mount system. Each lens comes with a factory-installed Sony E-mount but includes user-changeable RF, Z, and L mounts in the box.

This means you can use the same lens kit across Sony, Canon, Nikon, and Panasonic cameras, which eliminates the need for multiple lens sets. So, if you work with different systems or production teams, this flexibility is a huge money-saver!

Compact build

Last but not least, it’s worth noting that all three Vision Prime 1 lenses are relatively lightweight. They’re built with a durable aluminum alloy body, weighing 600 g each.
