Update An LCD Hood With An Old VHS Camcorder

A little while back we shared a nifty tutorial on making an LCD hood from a set of hotel keys. Today we are taking it up a notch with a follow up pictorial on making it a fully fledged LCD Lope

In addition to the stuff from the last pictorial you would need an old VHS cam that you can rip the viewfinder from.

Remove the swivel part from the viewfinder

Using another hotel key, make a pattern that is just slightly bigger than the hood, make a square hole in the middle of it to match the view finder. This will be the cover for the LCD hood.

Gaff-tape the cover to make it a firm box-top

Continue gaffing so it until it looks nice and black. Place it over the LCD hood.

Pop the view finder in

And re-place the rubber eye piece
