Tales By Light Review
If you’re a photographer, you’re going to love this series. It’s extremely inspiring, gorgeous to watch and so insightful to get inside the heads of fellow photographers (although it would have been nice to see a more even mix of female photographers).
And while the photographers are the stars of the show – what I was absolutely captivated by was the live action footage captured by cinematographer Abraham Joffe and his crew for the series.
It’s one thing to see how a still image is captured and then see the finished photograph – but its a whole other level when you realize that the entire series is just as amazing (if not more so) than those individual still photographs.
As a photographer, I appreciate the craft of photography – but the work and attention to detail that must have gone into the cinematography is truly stunning!

Already watched the whole series haha
that was an amazing series to watch
Total eye candy – magnificent pics. Fun show.
Just a quick point about the first sentence, defiantly and definitely mean very different things.
Thanks – fixed!
already watched the whole series. I really like every episode and that they didn’t make it an ad for canon but really kept it as an documentary about the locations and photography altogether
Seen all episodes last weekend in one go :)
Seemed pretty stupid series. Didn’t learn anything

Eh, it was ok. Wish it wasn’t just about nature/travel photography.
Do you have Netflix Jamie-Louise Fleming x
Yeah x
Loved this on Netflix… I hope they keep making them. I’d like one of those EOS-1D X Mk II’s if anyone has one to give away. :D
I’ve been loving this series! It’s brilliant to get an insight into how photographers work.
I’m so pleased to read that there’ll be a Season 2 in this post!
I’d love to see more content like this on Netflix.
