There are days when you just don’t feel like it’s worth picking up a camera and going out to shoot. It’s cloudy, dull and grey. Nothing is happening. Well, these boring days could actually be the most important for you as a photographer. In this great video, Adrian of aows will elaborate on that and convince you to just go out and shoot.
Adrian gives am interesting analogy with exercising. There are days when you don’t feel like going to the gym or for a jog. But when you force yourself to do it even when you don’t feel like it – this is when you push your limits. And days like this are what defines you as someone who’s active and who enjoys working out.
It’s similar with photography on boring days. You can always go out when the light is perfect or when there’s an event to shoot… Days like this even make you want to take photos. But shooting on cloudy, grey, foggy or in any other way unappealing days will make you work harder. They will make you push your limits and think out of the box.
Make sure to watch Adrien’s video for more of his thoughts on the topic and some beautiful examples. And don’t overthink it – just go out and shoot. :)
