Who shot it better: eighth grader vs. professional photographer

I’ve heard so many times that teenagers today do nothing but staring at their phones or playing video games. Well, that’s not exactly true. There are some talented folks out there, taking stunning photos at a very early age. Jessica Kobeissi teamed up with one such kid in her latest video. She and 14-year-old photographer Hudson Matter came together for a shootout in the streets of New York City. So, let’s see how they did and who shot it better.

Hudson usually photographs dancers, but he sometimes does portrait photography as well. And he’s pretty darn good! He says he has learned from his dad, and if the last name sounds familiar – yes, his dad is Jordan Matter. Hudson and Jessica photographed a dancer Isabella Fonte in New York. They went to two locations, and each of them had three minutes to take some good photos. I love it how the young Hudson takes the challenge and how he adapts to the situation. And it’s incredibly cute to see how excited he is about all this.

You can check out more photos in the video above and see how the shoot went, along with some funny situations they had while shooting. I can’t tell whose photos I like better, because both photographers are pretty good. But what I can say is that I love seeing someone so young to be so passionate about photography, and so good at it as well. If you’d like to see more of Hudson’s work, check out his Instagram and YouTube channel.
