You look like you could use a little puppy break. We have just the right medicine for you. Feast your eyes on Carli Davidson’s latest projects, Puppy Time Lapse and SHAKE Puppies. The projects are follow ups to her viral project, SHAKE, (from 2012) which featured grown dogs shaking it out in slow motion–ears flapping in the air, drool flying every which way. It is glorious. And it gets even better….This new project, SHAKE Puppies, is the same idea, only expands on the original with a boatload of adorable puppies because yes.

So, without further ado…

Davidson said she spent about an hour photographing each pup and while the idea of surrounding herself by puppies sometimes served as a great mood enhancer, the project was also difficult in ways she didn’t expect. In particular, she found herself wanting to adopt many of the puppies she was working with from the shelters she visited throughout the project.

In a post on FStoppers, Davidson had this to add:

“I shot Shake Puppies both in my studio and on location in people’s homes. It was much harder to find models for this book than it was for my first Shake book for a couple of reasons. First off, I needed puppies and finding dogs of that were under a year old proved to be more challenging than I anticipated.”

But Wait, There’s More

Now, if your heart hasn’t already completely melted out of your chest, you can treat yourself to this timelapse video bonus as you watch a 1 day old puppy grow to be 8 weeks old in right in front of your eyes…

Be sure to stop by Carli Davidson’s website to see more of work and pick up a copy the SHAKE Puppies book over on Amazon (it’s only $10.58!)
