This guy used a 360 camera to chase himself in these creative short videos

360 cameras have been seen by a bit of a gimmick by many people. They’re ok for grabbing quick snaps of yourself and your friends in the environment when you’re on vacation, but that’s about it. At least, it is for them. But there are so many creative things you can do with 360 cameras that you couldn’t really shoot any other way.
One person who’s been having a lot of fun with his 360 camera lately is Alex Ezorsky, who created a series of short videos with an amusing take on the struggles of meeting up with other people these days – as well as a couple of other amusing shorts, like The Hamster Dilemma above.
The main series on the channel so far, uploaded just recently, is the Mirror-chase. It’s a 5-part series that only takes a couple of minutes to watch in its entirety, but it’s quite amusing and includes some very neat techniques and camera trickery that must have taken a fair bit of planning to get right.
Alex doesn’t mention exactly which 360 camera he’s using for these videos, but you can do these kinds of effects with pretty much any of them depending on what software you’re using. And it’s pretty clear that there’s some compositing going on in some of these to get the final effect as well. He has made some tutorials for how he made some of his other creations, though, so perhaps we’ll see one for some of these at some point, too.
It’s well worth checking out Alex’s channel if you’re interested in getting a little creative with your short videos and want to start learning a little about effects in Premiere Pro and After Effects or just general camera trickery.
