GoPro cameras are meant to take a beating. But accidents do happen and sometimes you can end up scratching or cracking the lens of a GoPro.

Thankfully, YouTube user MicBergsma, who we’ve featured many times before, has shared a quick and simple way to replace the lens on your GoPro.

All it takes is a replacement lens, which can be purchased on Amazon for $20, a tool to pry off the ring holding the lens in place, pliers to unscrew the damaged lens, and a little bit of patience. Once you have everything laid out on a clean desk, you’re ready to go.

The most difficult part is trying to make sure you’ve set the lens at the proper distance to ensure the proper focus. This will need to be done on a trial and error basis, as the video shows.
