These photos of friendship between a dog and an owl will melt your heart

We have heard it many times, “a dog is man’s best friend”. What is not so usual is that a dog and an owl can find common ground. German nature photographer Tanja Brandt has captured a unique series of images that depict a special relationship between the German shepherd dog, Ingo, and Poldi, an owl.

Fortunately, animals do not suffer from prejudices and they do not discriminate based on gender, status, money, positions and so on. There are times I find myself envying their simplicity of life. On Facebook, I see videos of animals from different species that developed an affectionate relationship almost daily. They have become best friends.

The images of Ingo and Poldi are very sweet, and it seems like the two trust each other and can work together for the benefit of the photographer and us.
