These playing cards double as pocket-sized photography cheat sheets

Playing cards are a fantastic companion on a vacation, and so is your camera, of course. Avid traveler and photographer Eric Bohring brought these two concepts together and created a set of playing cards perfect for photographers. Other than passing time, you can also learn from these cards as they double as photography cheat sheets.
Just like any deck of cards, this one packs 52 playing cards and two Jokers. They are beautifully designed and have a really nice matte coating. But unlike regular playing cards, these can double as photography reference sheets. Each numbered card illustrates rules and techniques about composition, camera settings, exposure and so on. It’s like a pack of pocket-sized cheat sheets that you can always have with you.

I must admit that I don’t know many card games. But quarantine makes you do funny things, so I recently learned how to play poker. And even though now I only know four games, I love playing cards when I’m on a vacation. So, I think this deck would be a lovely addition to your gear bag – or your beach bag – if you’re into photography. Even if you don’t know how to play cards. :)

Eric launched his idea as a Kickstarter and it’s been insanely successful so far. There are still 30 days to go, but at the moment of writing this, $nearly 14,000 have been pledged out of $1,122 (€1,000) goal. You can get your deck for €12 (~$13.5), or a limited edition set in green which costs €15 (~$17). There are a few more options available, so make sure to check out the Kickstarter page and make your pledge.
