These elegant playing cards were inspired by photography

If you enjoy playing cards and collecting decks, here’s a deck you’ll want to add to your collection. It was inspired by photography, bringing it together with graphic design to create an elegant set of cards.

The f/1.2 deck is a collaboration between The Dutch Card House Company and Matt Fujiwara. It combines their passions for professional photography, playing cards, and clean graphic designing. If you look at the cards, the tuck, and the case, you’ll recognize many elements inspired by cameras and lenses. For example, the tuck mimics the aesthetics of a camera lens, the Jokers resemble the camera control wheel, and so on. The elements are incorporated into some cards very discretely, which I like a lot.

Here’s what you get with this deck:

The f/1.2 deck is available via Kickstarter. You can get a standard white deck for $11, a collector’s white deck for $14, and a set of the two for $28. If you pledge $43, you’ll get both decks in a collector’s case and with a shooter’s coin, both of which you can see in the photos above.
