The BlowerBaby by Nitecore is the world’s first rechargeable electronic dust blower, designed specifically for camera equipment and delicate electronics.
Designed to fit in the palm of (most) hands, it’s made from aluminium alloy and with what Nitecore describe as HA-III military grade hard-anodized finish.

If you already have a rocket style blower apparatus you may be wondering if this is merely a solution looking for a problem so to speak. However, your rocket blower probably can’t produce winds up to the speed of 70km/hr (43 miles/hour) in a single gust.
The company says that this is twice as powerful as traditional air blowers. However, it features a ‘uni-directional’ airflow intake design to ensure that it doesn’t damage surfaces. Additionally, there is a special sensor cleaning option which lowers the maximum airspeed to 50km/hr.
The Blower Baby works together with a Nitecore Camera Cleaning Pen to remove stubborn dust from your equipment and uses interchangeable brushes in order to get the exact fit. The blower can manage around 90 uses or roughly 50 minutes of use before it needs recharging.
I seem to be always battling dust on my camera equipment, and sensor cleaning is always something I fear. Actually, I’m almost embarrassed to say that whenever I’ve got to the point where I need to clean my camera sensor I buy a new camera body instead. But maybe I’d do better to just get the sensor cleaned, or try something like this!
The Blower Baby is available for $79.95.
