The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards 2026 are officially open for entries. To celebrate the launch, the contest team has shared a collection of hilarious, never-before-seen wildlife photos from last year’s competition. If you love and take funny wildlife photos, this contest is your chance to join the fun.

The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards was born in 2015, founded by wildlife photographers Paul Joynson-Hicks MBE and Tom Sullam. Their mission was twofold: highlighting the humorous side of nature and raising awareness about wildlife conservation. They want to encourage photographers and viewers alike to appreciate and protect the animals that share our planet. By sharing funny moments in nature, the contest creates a special kind of connection between the audience and wildlife.

Winning the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards isn’t just about bragging rights (although, it sure is one of the perks :)). The overall winner will receive an incredible once-in-a-lifetime safari in Kenya’s Maasai Mara, hosted by Alex Walker’s Serian, along with a handmade trophy created in Tanzania.

Other prizes include:

  • Nikon cameras and lenses
  • ThinkTANK camera bags
  • A professional photography website

While humor is at the heart of the competition, the awards also support a serious cause.

Through this partnership, the competition helps spotlight the importance of keeping wildlife in the wild and safeguarding natural habitats.
