Sigma Optimization Pro update adds new features and is now compatible with Apple M1

Sigma has announced the new 1.7.0 update of the Sigma Optimization Pro software. This software allows you to connect your computer to your Sigma lenses via the use of the mount-appropriate adapter for the system you use. The software allows you to tweak the settings of your lenses, including assigning function keys, autofocus calibration and other features as well as updating the firmware.

The latest update is primarily for L mount users, allowing compatibility for L mount DN lenses to assign functions to custom switches, customising the appearance of live view and customising the focus limiter range. For Mac users, it now also comes with native support for Apple’s M1 processors.

【SIGMA Optimization Pro 1.7.0 for Macintosh】
・It brings native support for Macs with an Apple M1 chip.
・It allows users of L-Mount DN lenses to assign functions to custom switches.*
* It allows users to customize the appearance of live view images when camera shake correction is activated.
* It allows users to customize the focus limiter range.

The update requires Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 for Windows users and macOS Mojave 10.14, Catalina 10.15 or Big Sur 11 running on either an Intel or Apple M1 processor for Mac users.
