Wedding fairs are a hard competition. If you are a wedding photographer, there is sometimes no way around those, though. Finnish photographer, Aaro Keipi, found a cool way to attract clients to his booth. He replaced the insides of a Kodak Duaflex II twin lens reflex with a Samsung Gear watch to attract clients and initiate a conversation.
I am not really sure I like the Kodac disassembly part, but it seems that it was needed in order to fit the watch and charger in.
Then, a series of short steps added a screen instead of the original viewfinder.

Here is what the finished camera looked like:
According to Aaro, the camera was a success and many who came to look in the viewfinder started to chat about the photos and could be potential clients.

That’s pretty clever use and marketing hook. Maybe this will spark a diy idea that wouldn’t require the USB cord.
Thanks! And technically, this doesn’t require the USB cord, since the watch battery lasts for about 4-5 hours of constant playback. But since the bridal show was 8 hours long, plugging it in was a necessity in this case.
