Last minute gift guide – not a single camera inside

If you are living in the northern hemisphere of Earth, there is no way you can escape the upcoming Christmas and the accompanying gift Christmas gift guides. Actually, there is no way to escape this in the southern hamospghere as well.
The thing with gift guides is that we always tend to include gifts that we really don’t want to get, like cameras and lenses. Who would buy someone a camera to sit under the Christmas tree? This is a huge gamble. Instead, I opted for five gifts that any photographer would love getting. No matter the system they are using. If you are reading this at the last minute, B&H has a free expedited shipping sale going on right now, and I will link there with most items. If you have Amazon Prime, make sure you use the next-day delivery service.
NP-F970 USB-C Rechargeable Camera Battery

A battery is one of the most used items in a photographer’s bag; it can be used for lighting, powering a camera, or even recharging a phone. And SmallRig’s NPF batteries are the best we have seen in the market. (we know because we reviewed them here).
CreateMate Card Reader/Case

Ask any photographer about the bumming part of their work, and there is a good chance it will be the time it takes to offload the memory cards after a shoot. PGYTECH’s CreateMate is a fast memory card reader, but it’s also a case for storing up to six memory cards, two SIM cards, and four micro SD cards. It is weather resistant and employs a 10 Gb/s reader with the cable already included. (if you want to learn more, we review the CreateMate Card Reader here).
YC Onion Pineta Pro Carbon Fiber Monopod

This is the fastest monopod I have seen to date, and it is an absolute favorite. If you are buying this for any photographer who run-and-guns, they would be grateful! It is my go-to monopod, and I never looked back after switching.
Pony Clamps

If you are looking for sticking stuffers, pony clamps are both useful (check the image above) and budget friendly. Coming at under $1.00 for the 0.6″ to under $3 for the useful 2 incher, this is one of the best photography-related stocking stuffers in existence.
Insta360 GO 3S

OK, I know I said no cameras, but this is technically an Action camera. The nice thing about it is that it is so tiny it can practically go anywhere. On a shirt, in a fridge, on a football, you name it. And if you ar eon Instagram, there is no way you can avoid it. Plus, whatever system you are are on, this would be great for BTS and social media content. If you want to geek out before you buy, we have a full Insta360 GO 3S review.
