Instagram now lets you have more than one link in the bio (finally)

At long last, Instagram is allowing users to put more than one link in their bio. This means that the old method of having to use a third party like Link Tree to list multiple links may be unnecessary.

This is great news for anyone using the platform for marketing their business, particularly if they have more than one revenue stream. It’s also good for photographers who have a particular thing that they want to highlight, for example, the link to a new book or a direct link to a sales gallery page for your images.

However, there is a but. Only one link will actually be visible on your page. The rest must be accessed via another link. Yes, just like good old Link Tree!

Creators have long been frustrated by the limitation of only allowing a single link, as many have multiple activities going on. After 6 months of testing, Instagram finally opened this up to everyone.

Meta chief Mark Zuckerberg said it was “probably one of the most requested features we’ve had,” while Instagram boss Adam Mosseri said in a post demonstrating the new feature: “Sorry it took so long.”

How to add links

If you want to add multiple links to your profile, simply go to “Edit Profile,” select “Links”, and then select “Add external link.” You can then add all the links you desire and choose which one you want to be visible. The rest will be accessible via a button.
