Here is a quick tutorial from Pierre-Yves Chopin on a quick bag mode to make it bicycle friendly.

I needed a solution to carry my Pentax K5 when biking around. I already had a Lowepro Toploader zoom 50 AW, so I decided to modify it in a simple way.

Materials Needed

  • Sewing kit
  • Few inches of regular / strong nylon strap (to add on the bag)
  • Few inches of velcro straps (to mount on the handlebars)
  • Some kind of durable elastic band
  • 2 hooks.

Instructions

I added an horizontal strap on the back of the bag so it would fit 2 velcro straps that’d go on the handlebars.

If you are taking the bag, the straps can be left on the handle.

To keep it in place, I made a simple elastic band with to hooks and used the existing plastic rings on the bottom of the bag.
